Sweet moments and cute stories are waiting to be shared with us. If you’re an anime or Japanese culture fan, you shouldn’t miss out! Let’s look at some of the beloved anime Christmas this holiday season!

“We Wish You a Metal Christmas”- Aggretsuko

Aggretsuko is a Japanese animated series created by Sanrio. The series combines comedy with deep themes about everyday life and struggles in a modern, fast-paced society. With its quirky art style and relatable characters, Aggretsuko quickly became a hit.

The story is about Retsuko, a young red panda who works as an accountant at a busy office in Japan. Even though she’s good at her job, Retsuko gets super frustrated with her annoying co-workers and bosses. To release her anger, she goes to karaoke bars every night and sings loud, crazy heavy metal! However, Retsuko faces even more challenges, such as feeling shy and worrying about her future. But she also makes new friends, learns how to handle her job better, and finds ways to be happier.

“We Wish You a Metal Christmas” is a special episode from Aggretsuko, released in December 2018. In this anime Christmas episode, Retsuko gets so busy trying to look perfect on social media that her Christmas plans go wrong! While she’s struggling, Haida still wants to celebrate Christmas with her. It’s a lovely story about friendship, Christmas fun, and how tricky it can be to balance online life with real-life celebrations. It’s a sweet holiday story with lots of metal music and festive cheer!

“Sakura’s Wonderful Christmas”- Cardcaptor Sakura

Cardcaptor Sakura is based on a popular manga series created by the all-female artist group CLAMP. First airing in 1998, it quickly won over fans with its magical and charming story. Plus, with its vibrant art, heartfelt storytelling, and lovable characters, the show stood out and gained high praise. It received several awards, including the 1999 Animage Grand Prix for Best Anime.

The story centers on ten-year-old Sakura Kinomoto, who discovers a mysterious book in her basement and accidentally releases a set of magical Clow Cards. Each card has its power and can change into different forms!

Along the way, Sakura is supported by Toya – her brother, Yukito – Toya’s friend, Tomoyo – her best friend, and Syaoran – her former rival turned friend. She faces challenges, meets new friends, and discovers her feelings.

“Sakura’s Wonderful Christmas” is a fun and festive special where Sakura is on a mission to find the perfect Christmas gift for Yukito, whose birthday is also on Christmas! After getting some advice, she gives him a special present at the amusement park.

Yet, things take a wild turn when a fire breaks out caused by the powerful Firey card! With help from her friends, Sakura has to capture the card and save the day. This anime Christmas episode is full of magic, adventure, and a sparkling sky, thanks to Kero’s powers.

And he also meets other characters who bring more drama.

In the “Christmas and Girlfriend” episode, Kazuya feels a bit down around Christmas time and gets super jealous when he spots Chizuru with another guy, thinking he’s her boyfriend!
